How we make money

Comparison sites that hide how they're paid don't deserve your trust. Here is ours in full.

What we will never do

Where the money comes from

Pet insurance referrals

When you look up the cost of a procedure, we may show links to pet insurers. If you click one and go on to take out a policy, the insurer pays us a fee. You pay the same price whether you come through us or go direct. The fee does not change which insurers we show or the order we show them in.

Introducing customers to insurers is an activity regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We do this only as an Introducer Appointed Representative of an authorised firm, or by displaying promotions that the insurer itself has approved. We do not recommend policies, compare policy terms, or handle your application. [Update this paragraph with the name of your principal firm and FCA reference once appointed.]

Online pharmacy referrals

Vets must now offer you a written prescription so you can buy medicines elsewhere. Where we show pharmacy prices, we may earn a small commission if you buy after clicking through. We list retailers registered with the Veterinary Medicines Directorate and show them in a neutral, complete list. We do not promote individual prescription medicines.

Reports for vet practices

We may sell independent practices a report showing how their prices compare with others nearby. This is a separate product. Buying it, or not buying it, has no effect on how a practice appears to pet owners on this site.

What we don't do yet

We don't carry display advertising, and we don't charge pet owners anything. If either of those changes, this page will say so before it happens.
